i had used "drink me" magic before the game, and i think i was still mini when i clicked "start game"

i was normal sized when the first round began, but then suddenly turned giant mid-round.

when i was caught by a ghost, i would be normal-sized and the opposite color as per usual, but then would turn giant again once the capture timer was up.

after this round, i was normal sized for the rest of the game.

That's actually happened to me before. I used Drink Me and I didn't shrink once loaded in to the game.

It is because everyone is smaller while playing and you made it so you were normal sized !
