There's a cold crisp December air and the smell of candy canes everywhere - which can only mean one thing: it's nearly Christmas!
Who doesn't love a hot mug of cocoa and reading a holiday story on the chilly nights as we countdown to the arrival of old Saint Nick- but all good stories must first be written! It is down to you, the excited elves, ravishing reindeer and the frosty snowmen of myVMK to write the winter tales in a Holiday Short Story Competition! The contest will last from 5th December 2015 to the 27th December 2015. Entries will not be accepted after 11:59pm EST on the 27th of December.
PRIZES AND JUDGING
The judges of this contest will be the Forum Staff. We will pick our top 10 favorites and then let the users of myVMK Forums vote on the finalists to determine 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. This will be done anonymously. If there are not 10 entries, or close to that amount, we will allow all entries to be placed in a poll
The prizes are as follows:
First Place: Writing Contest Forums Medal 1st Place
Second Place: Writing Contest Forums Medal 2nd Place
Third Place: Writing Contest Forums Medal 3rd Place
All participants get a medal, too!

All good holidays have a story to tell whether it is the tale of a Grinch with a heart three sizes to small who comes to love Christmas or learning to be generous through the plight of Scrooge! We look forward to reading the adventures into a winter wonderland that we know the creative minded individuals of myVMK will surely produce!
