As you can see, the forums have been updated to another forum software that is somewhat different than vBulletin. While it works pretty much the same, it came to my attention that many people are having trouble adjusting coming from vBulletin. So here you will be able to find a guide on how to do things you used to know how to do!

Navigating to Threads:

Starting threads and replying:

User Profile, Mail, and Alerts (Notifications):

When you click your name, you will pull down a profile menu that looks like this. This next section will explain what each of these is for/where it leads.

Your Profile Page leads to your public profile as it is seen by everyone else. This is where people can see your information, wall (visitor messages), who follows you and more.

Personal Details is where you update all personal information seen on your profile.

Your News Feed is status updates and activity by the people you follow (formerly friends from vb).

Signature is the page to update your signature seen around the forums.

Conversations is another way to reach your Inbox/Mail.

Contact Details is the page to update your email, messaging preferences, and general contact information that others can see on your profile.

Alerts is the full page alert screen, also accessible by clicking alerts in the right hand corner.

Privacy are your forum privacy options.

Likes you received is the page where you can see likes you have on posts. This is the same as thanks in vBulletin.

Preferences is the page to set general forum preferences

Your Content is where you see your threads and posts around the forums.

Alert Preferences is the page for preferences specific for alerts, or notifications.

People You Follow is a list of the people you follow on the forum, and give you the ability to unfollow if you choose.

Avatar is the page to update your forum avatar

People You Ignore is the list of people you ignore on the forums, and allows you to unignore them again.

Password allows you to update your forum password.

Join User Groups is a page that shows current joinable user groups and the groups you are already a member of

If you want anything explained further, or want to know how to do something not listed, feel free to PM me or reply to this thread! Help will always be given to those who ask for it.

If you need ideas for what to write on, here's a pretty detailed XF user guide you can go off of.

Good job so far! ;o
