a lot of the problems with running the game is that since it has a bad case of the 2003s, it will only play correctly on an older version of shockwave.
so, you post your problem, and someone suggests you do the downgrading tango. however, you just can't seem to find the old versions, becuase adobe is too busy trying to shove the latest iteration into your computer's hard drive like fruit in an overstuffed juice maker.
fear no more, because here's where i picked up my copy of 11.6, which solved my haunted mansion crashing problem, as well.
simply go to control panel --> programs(may have change/remove in the name) or whatever the mac equivalent is and uninstall. then head to this little beauty of a site:
http://www.oldapps.com/shockwave.php
and pick out a version. i personally went in 11.6 for non-ie browsers(since i use chrome)
just make absolutely sure it says it's the full version.
download it however you do, and then give it a double click.
