Sending audio through the shoutbox

Can this not be a thing please? It's incredibly loud compared to normal volume, does nothing for the shoutbox conversation and just gives people mini panic attacks. A lot of people, like myself, keep MyVMK forums open in a separate tab while working on something else on the computer, and it's just honestly annoying. Every time it has happened that i have witnessed, everyone on the shoutbox just immediately asks them to stop doing it.

Agreed. Usually I'll have the forums open and be in another tab doing something with my sound up and hear some loud noise from the shoutbox and be startled. It's quite annoying even if it's intended just to be something funny.

I really like hearing the pop when someone says my name though. It's 150% useful.

This my tone for when I get text messages. It might be a thought to make the DING not so dang loud.

If this continues, I have tried to ask for them to make it so we can mute the shoutbox if we'd like. That way anyone who'd like to hear random audio coming from the shoutbox while they're doing something else will be able to, while others can mute it.

I do like the ding when someone says my name. I don't think it's especially loud. But yes I agree otherwise.
