It's time for our Annual Design a Pumpkin Contest!

This contest will go 'till October 24th at 11:59pm EST.

Rules -

• You must use the provided template for your entry.
• You may design things by hand or digitally.
• All entries must consist of your own work.
• Stealing someones art will get you disqualified.
• All entries must follow the MyVMK Forum Rules.
• Only one entry per user.
• To ensure anonymity and fairness, please do not put your name anywhere on the image.
• Be creative and have fun! We look forward to seeing some great patterns, images, and designs!
• No real pumpkins, please!

How to submit your pumpkin -

• Please submit your pumpkin image as well as your in-game name in the thread;
Click here and in the thread title you can enter your username.
• Do not submit your pumpkin on this thread!!​

• After the entry deadline has passed, MyVMK Forum staff members will review all entries and choose the Top 10. Users may vote in the poll for the top 3.
• Users will be allowed to vote from the 26th until the 30th, and winners will be announced on the 31st.
• All participants will receive an in-game prize, as well as a forums medal.​

if we use the digital template, are we allowed to expand the blank space around the image, or do we just have to use the template at the exact size it already is?

You can go outside the lines and expand the space. As long as the pumpkin is roughly the same, and the logo is in tact.

Also for hand drawing can we make the pumpkin smaller as well?

You will not get disqualified, as long as it follows the rules and is appropriate. For hand drawing, you can print the template or try to trace over it. It just has to be relatively similar and includes the logo.

It can be anything! Carved, painted, doesnt matter!

are we allowed to use pieces of illustrations (like characters) that are not our own, but use them in a different way? Like take pieces from the original form and incorporate them into our design? If that makes sense, or do all parts of our submission have to be our own drawing?

Certain things like clipart of disney characters is fine. You just cant like copy and paste and call it a day. Put your own style on it and it's fine!

Make sure you're saving it to your computer THEN opening it in paint or whatever rather than copying image and pasting it onto the program (:

i just printed it and it printed in white even though it looked all black on the screen! the logo is there and visible

As long as it's the shape, the logo on the corner doesn't matter as much. Worse case scenario, one of us can add it later.
But if you wish to try printing it with just the logo, remember to right click the file, save it to you computer, and then print it out.
