It honestly breaks my heart to have to be writing a post such as this, but the MyVMK Staff felt that a statement should be made about the recent loss of some of our most talented Graphic Artists, GA_Copper, GA_Leia, and VMK_Lady. We are all very deeply saddened by this because it feels like we just lost a huge part of our family. Every family goes through some tough times and this was ours, unfortunately. We are all still very heartbroken over having lost these incredible people.
I just want to take a moment to thank the Graphic Artists for all the hard work that they put into MyVMK. Thank you all. It means so much to all of us on the MyVMK Staff that you took so much time out of your days to work on items for this game as well as going above and beyond by helping in other areas where help was needed. You will all be deeply missed, and we hope that one day you all might come back to us in the future.
To add to this, HOST_Aurora has taken a hiatus for the time being due to health issues. She will be back as soon as she is able to host again. We have also lost one of our administrators, VMK_Simba. He will also be truly missed. Thank you VMK_Simba for all the hard work that you have put into MyVMK. It was very much appreciated.
With all of that being said, the MyVMK Staff are going to be working very hard to improve MyVMK. What does this mean? It simply means that we are going to be working on being more transparent as well as communicating things more both internally and externally. So, we have decided to close MyVMK for one week starting 24 hours after this post was posted. The MyVMK Staff need time to recuperate from this loss and would like to take the time to restructure things to make sure that this does not happen again. Just to be clear, the game is NOT closing permanently, and we WILL be back at in a week’s time. There will be a countdown timer on the website for everyone to be able to check and see when the game opens again.
The last thing I would also like to ask that everyone please be respectful of the Graphic Artists goodbye forums posts rather than use them to be disrespectful. Something that all of us, including them, never want to see is people being disrespectful or hateful. Show them how much you love them and thank them for all the hard work that they have done for this game as they really truly deserve it.
