WARNING - Microsoft IE Hacked

#1
If you're using Microsoft's Internet Explorer, please reconsider!!

I want to make sure everyone is aware of this:
https://www.yahoo.com/tech/new-security-flaw-affects-all-versions-of-internet-84085229159.html

Update:
Quote from article:
Microsoft said in the advisory that the vulnerability could allow a hacker to take complete control of an affected system, and then do things such as viewing, changing, or deleting data; installing malicious programs; or creating accounts that would give hackers full user rights.
Update [4/29]:
You probably already know this, but I am saying it anyway. XP will not get a fix for this bug at all. Ever. Also, the patch is aimed for IE 9-11, so IE8 will not be included. So XP users should never use IE again unless they are going to websites they know are malware-free. (such as http://www.mozilla.org, http://www.opera.com, or http://www.google.com/chrome, which are a few websites to get other browsers from) :(

“It’s a campaign of targeted attacks seemingly against U.S.-based firms, currently tied to defense and financial sectors,”
personal users for the most part should be fine, and this is a temporary bug that will surely get fixed soon. If you use IE, until the update you should be okay as long as you stay on trusted sites.

so if I only use it to play vmk... am I okay?
Not a good idea to use it for anything at this point.

This is not simply a matter of avoiding certain websites. You won't be able to tell if a particular site has been injected with code which could silently take over your entire computer.

If you can't switch browsers right away, at least disable Adobe Flash in Internet Explorer, which is used to execute the code. But please switch browsers as soon as you possibly can.

I had IE as a secondary browser that I rarely used. I decided to disable it completely.

The bug affects everyone. Not just big firms. Don't take the chance please.

I do have to apologize for my previous ignorance (this particular piece doesn't convey the true importance of the virus). After much more digging on the matter and importance, I do have to readjust what I originally said. DONT USE INTERNET EXPLORER!! I do apologize for my previous ignorance, but seriously. Don't use ie until after Microsoft has fixed this, and even well after that probably for good measure XD! I don't use it anyways, but this is going to make me continue to not :D

How do you uninstall internet explorer in a tablet?
You can't uninstall IE on Windows computers unless MS has changed it in the past year or two. It's a built in feature of windows, kinda like Windows Explorer for file browsing.
