Can't log on

I have played since day 1 & never have a problem logging on until 3 days ago.
Not sure what's going on here.
I have uninstalled & reinstalled shockwave, I have cleared history,
Tried it on IE, Firefox & google chrome, flushed dns.
It shows shock wave loading bar, vmk logo, updating, loading furni & character then, black screen & dc'd me.
I logged on this morning & got my credits with no problem.
Been sitting here for over half hour trying to get in game.
My operating system is windows 8 any suggestions as to what's going on?
Just ran a test, I have full version shockwave..

Not sure if this was the fix or no, but I went ad reset Firefox to original settings & it worked!

Glad you were able to get back on. The server has been having a lot or problems recently, so you're in the same boat as everyone most likely. Thanks for posting the update.

i cant log in right now itlets me sign in but i hit enter game and it disconnects everytime

I'm having trouble too. It keeps showing the Reauthenticate page then Shockwave page. Then it starts all over again!

I have been trying relentlessly to log in since i found myvmk yesterday and I can't get past the black screen. I've turned off all firewall settings, installed shockwave AND java AND reinstalled, I've tried three different browsers, emptied the cache and cleared the cookies for all of them...restarted my pc... i have windows 7. I've downloaded my vmkpal... I literally don't know what else I can try. It loads clothing, then the load bar disappears and leaves the black screen. I really need some help. Does anyone know if there's a port that needs to be enabled?
