Would it be easier for you if the background was a solid orange/green/some-color-other-than-white for you to be able to cut the ornament out if the inside has a lot of white?

So are we allowed to take a Disney character and just "apply" it to the ornament? Like will there be copyright issues with that or no?

Also, do I keep it as a PNG? So if I'm editing it, the image should be transparent? Just making sure I saved it correctly. And should I leave the black line on the ornament or it doesn't matter?
