It honestly sounds like they're trying to make a new era, since it sounds like none of the original actors will be back. I love high school musical, but I'm not excited about this :/ just reminds me of Toy story 4 and why i'm displeased of that one getting made.

I think its definitely a cash grab but will be interesting to see where it goes.

Okay, I'll admit that I really like High School Musical 1 and 2. After that I never saw the rest of the movies and didn't care to watch them. Disney Channel movies are not like they used to be. I'm sure it'll be a pure cash grab and nothing more. Disney Channel production quality has really been a let down for many years (except for Girl Meets World, I think they are doing a great job with that).

We'll just have to wait and see how this plays out and who they cast etc.

I can't believe they're making A 4TH! (And this long after the 3rd!)
I LOVED and was minorly obsessed w. the franchise (at the time.) But I'm no doubt, going to that casting if it's near me!
