Most Underrated Movies

#1
I'm not a hipster when it comes to movies, I love a lot of mainstream movies that come to the theater, but I think there are a lot of movies that are truly underrated that need that we should definitely discuss right here, right now. Here's a few in no particular order:

1. Cloud Atlas (fairly new)
2. Fifth Element (older)
3. What Dreams May Come (older)
4. [The New] Anna Kerenina ( fairly new)

What are your most beloved, yet underrated films?

Benny & Joon, such a great movie (of course because Johnny Depp is in it)
I like how two kind of nutty, but sweet people fall in love. (:

Candy with Heath Ledger and Abbie Cornish.
It's in my top 3 favorite Heath movies, it's tragic yet beautiful.
It won a few awards but not a lot of people know about it. It's amazing.

Cloud Atlas is legit one of my favorite movies.
Dinosaur (Disney's) is practically unknown by everyone. At least when people ask me about what my favorite movie is, no one knows it.
Super 8 (its fairly new I guess? I think it came out like 2 or 3 years ago)
The Prestige
300 Pounds Beauty (Its a Korean movie)
Hum Saath Saath Hain (One of the best Bollywood movies I have ever seen. Its like classic Bollywood with the music and dancing rather than how it is now. I mean it still has that stuff, but not like the classics did)
The Perks of Being a WallFlower
Silver Linings Play Book
There are a lot more... I just cant think of all of them right now :D

Synecdoche, New York. Not as well known as some other Charlie Kaufman movies (Eternal Sunshine and Being John Malkovich) but I really thought it was a great movie and had some powerful bits of dialogue.

Also...
Nebraska (nominated for a Best Picture this year, great movie)
Short Term 12 (excellent indie movie)
Big Fish
Trainspotting
Beasts of the Southern Wild
Children of Men
Never Let Me Go
Where the Wild Things Are
Ed Wood (Johnny Depp <3)

Not sure if all of these are "underrated" but I don't think they're as well known as they should be.

Suckerpunch??
So many people said it was terrible , when really I think they were being close-minded when it came to the movie.
