I've had this problem a few times where after successfully completing a round or a couple of rounds the background shows up but nothing else loads.
as you can see from the image, it still shows how my last round ended (dead with 2 ammo left), but it also shows the round 3's 3 minute timer. I also couldn't exit the game. I had to relog in order to get back to the pirates lobby.
