my sister has a question about this game...what does it mean to have your bag full? Do you play? why or why not?

This means that she has too many items in her bags, be it pokeballs, potions, revives, etc. For her to gain more items from pokestops, she would need to discard some items. I would recommend discarding about half the number of revives since those are seldom used.

and btw, you still can get XP when you bag is full. so if you have a lot of pokeballs/greatballs and so on you don't really have to empty some of your items. just catch pokemons and you good to go
