okay, I'm a bit late, but this past week I've been watching rupaul's drag race religiously for the first time ever in my life. it's kind of awesome because you can find all of the full-length episodes on logo's website.
I started watching because I follow danny noriega/adore & absolutely love her.
I can't stop. it's so good. sissy that walk girl.

I started on season 6 only because I really wanted to enjoy it with adore's character during that season
& I was wondering if any of you watch it?!

Yaaaaas I love Rupaul's Drag Race. Katya is one of the most amazing humans to ever grace this planet and I cannot wait for the day I turn 21 and can see her perform. Her Ruflections/Rugrets Youtube series is bizarre and beautiful and hilarious and discomforting and mindboggling experience. I saw the Battle of the Seasons Tour and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen - it's amazing how talented these queens are. Jinkx Monsoon did an incredible opera cover of Radiohead's Creep, Ivy Winters did a lipsync on stilts, Alaska was, well, Alaska...

My favorite season is probably 5 - Jinkx Monsoon, Alaska, Detox, Ivy Winters, Alyssa Edwards.... so many amazing queens in one season.

Technically Kennedy broke the rules during that... Rupaul made it a rule that no queen shall walk off the stage during a lip sync for your life after the season 3 Mimi & India disaster. But since she jump split off the stage she was safe by a technicality in the rule but still not fair because she left the stage which is against the rules. So I'm not happy at all over that...

Yeah but Carmen walked off the stage during one of her lip syncs I think, so I'm not sure how seriously that rule was taken. Kennedy pulled out all the stops for that one, although I think it might have been too much - Katya definitely showed some more restraint and I think tried to channel more of the emotion in the song, although she was overshadowed by Kennedy's theatrics (we barely caught her doing that cartwheel into split move). Katya took her elimination like a true Queen and I think we all know who is going to win Miss Congeniality (votes are open btw!).

Yeah I think they tend to favor those who go crazy and are more theatric in their dancing and not necessarily those who lip sync the best.

Eh there's still that unforgettable lipsync of Latrice and Natural Woman. I think it depends on the song, but generally I'm inclined to agree. Kennedy was impressive with her dance moves but imo went a bit overboard and at some points was kinda just flailing around. Katya tried to let it build up. Mom is still best Russian, and thanks to her I know my favorite Bob Ross quote <3

Kennedy also cleared up that there was no rule about leaving the stage.

Also, "I feel like my Socialist side will help balance out Hello Kitty's decadent capitalism" - Katya has a brilliant mind.

Latrice Royale is one my favorite contestants in drag race. I was hoping Rupaul would of had both Kennedy and Katya stay. Honestly I don't think Katya should of been bottom two in the first place.

I know I was hoping for a "Shantay you BOTH stay!" since both of them slayed that lip sync. Oh well - I'm happy we got to see Katya for as long as we did. I thought Katya's look was pretty well constructed and liked it much more than Ginger's (imo Ginger should have been in the bottom 2) and Katya's character look more than made up for it.

I really really really need to turn 21 so I can see Katya at her home club in Boston (and Juju as well - love my Boston queens!) - so close yet so far away...
