I am having a very similar problem. I'm on a Mac. VMK doesn't work on Safari, Firefox (i get up to the black screen as well) or the MyVMK Experience thing.

Thanks for the advice everyone! Unfortunately it's not letting me in the game at all now. I tried downloading MyVMK Experience, didn't work, tried downloading another web browser (firefox), didnt work. I think it's because I'm on a mac.
