Chrome has issues with MyVMK. Use simple browsers like IE, Safari or Opera

Yeah I've heard some say IE works best for them for MyVMK, but really, all of the major browsers work well; for the most part, none of them really have "issues" with the game unless it's related to your computer (like some of us, mainly those who are on W8 on a touch screen computer, can only use certain browsers because in the others, the game screen is too small). While sometimes they may randomly stop working with the game, and you'll have to switch to another, but overall, you should be able to use any browser you like. It also kind of seems to depend on your OS as well; Firefox seems to be the best for Macs (that are pre-Mavericks of course), while IE, Firefox, and Chrome seem to be best for most Window users. I personally use Safari (because of the aforementioned game screen size issue).

For the record though, it sounds like clearing your cache might've solved the slow loading problem.
