Space mountain teleporters

I just bought the space mountain teleporter and I can't get it to work. Is there something specific I need to do to make it work? I put the one in one room and the other in the room I want people to be able to go to. I even put them right next to each other and it's not working. What am I doing wrong? LoL! It's been a while since I used the teleporters. Thanks!

Have you tried rotating them or putting them in the middle of the room / empty space?

Yes, I have moved them, rotated them, taken them away, placed them in different rooms, same room, etc.

No, just the one set. It's my first one I've bought.

Try logging in and out

Try placing both of them in the middle of an empty room (not close together though).

Try standing next to one and double-clicking it. Please post your results and if it works.

Ok here is what I did. I put both in my empty dark ride room. Placed them on opposite sides of the room. Walked into both and nothing happened. Rotated and still nothing happened.
