I like your idea, but I would hope that if this is implemented, that there would be checks to make sure no one is impersonating someone else.

Yeah! Having our IGN name show there would be nice. I'd prefer it'd be in postbit though, so we wouldn't have to go to someone's profile to see their name.

You can always put "IGN: xxxxx" in your user title space for the time being!

It would also be useful to have our IGN not only on our profile, but also under our avatar followed by Joined, Messages, Gender. I also agree with the security check of making sure the person claiming an IGN on the forum is that person. I've seen this security check implemented on another forum
