Just a few thoughts.
I do understand the frustration you guys are having here.. and that it is incredibly hard to improve your scores.. at times it can really feel like there is no possible way to get a higher score than the same score you have received 10 games in a row. This game is frustrating, and takes a long time to complete each game. It's not the kind of game that you want to feel pressured to improve your score within 24 hours. It took me many, many hours over the course of many days/months etc, of playing fireworks to be able to score 7k.. but sometimes it seems like people see those scores and assume that I was always just naturally good at fireworks, as if I didn't spend many nights playing and getting just as frustrated as the rest of you are now because I couldn't break 3k, 4k, 5k. So stating that its "hardly a challenge" for those of us who score high, seems a little unfair. The only reason it's not a challenge for us now, is because we put in all the hours practicing during the non-quest days to get better. So no, I didn't have to play 10, 20, or 100 games today to complete this quest. I already did that on my downtime to make sure I would be able to do quests such as these. If you wan't to be able to complete quests with higher difficulty, spend time playing and improving your scores when you don't have the pressure of a quest expiring on you. You will find yourselves less tense and with more freedom to actually get better gradually. This is what I did, and what I recommend to others. I would really love for everyone to be able to complete quests like this!
And yes, there will always be people who simply cannot score high enough, no matter how hard they try. And that is really, really unfortunate. I know it sucks to want to complete something and just not being able to.. at the very least, assuming rewards are tradable most of the time, you still have a chance to obtain an item you may want. Of course it won't have the same satisfaction perhaps for you as earning it yourself, but in a way trading for items is still earning them in the sense that you earned whatever spent on said item. I know this is not the thing people want to hear as a solution though, and I am sorry.
Having quests with varying difficulty is great. And this quest had so much effort put into it, so thank you
@HOST_Crash for thinking of those players who really love quests and taking a risk, despite knowing there would be complaints. There are still players who I'm sure really enjoyed being able to work on this today!
My request to staff would be to please make sure games are running at their best, with little to no issues before requiring above-average scores. I am glad to have seen an improvement in a few of the mini games but there are still issues here and there that could use some more work. AND consider fixing the other fireworks version. This can be used as an alternative maybe? Require cumulative points.. whatever works best? But that might help ease the stress and tension with this issue.
