That said, David Tennant is adorable (and he was in Harry Potter so he gets my vote) and Karen Gillan's character seems really cool.

At first I really disliked Matt Smith as the Doctor, but now I would not hesitate to call him my favorite Doctor. My favorite companions would definitely be Amy and Rory. Those are probably the "golden age" episodes of New Who, in my honest opinion. I love all of the new Doctor Who series but the ending of Amy and Rory's adventures left a hole in my heart which will never be filled.
