Name Change Message?

can we please get notified/messaged when someone changes their name in game. that would be helpful

such as:

billybob changed his name to bobbilly

kind of pointless if you change your name and have people still on your friends list bc they'll know who you are regardless

well if they deleted their friends list thats one thing

I agree it would be helpful if all the friends on their list were notified somehow. I have a couple of friends on my list who had name changes (one has changed several times) and when I go down my list I think "who the heck are you and why did I friend them?" Kinda gets embarrassing to message them and ask "who are you?"

I agree with this, I took a break from the game and when I came back so many of my friends changed their names and I thought my account was hacked into, etc... Anyway, I didn't make it a big deal, but I'm sure if someone on my friends list didn't want me to know they had a name change so I wouldn't figure out who they are... then they wouldn't be on my friends list. A lil alert would be nice haha

word spreads around if you have a lot of friends (its called gossip). if you don't have a lot, its easier if you just message them. (y) problem solved

hmmmmmm i agree with both.....bc some dont want ppl to know their new name...but then some wanna know if they changed...so its confusing

Maybe there could be the option to alert your friends list? So when you request a name change you can either say yes, alert my friends or no, don't alert my friends. That way people have the option if it's something they think would be helpful, or not.
