We're not paying anyone for anything is the difference. Those people don't take your fee and throw it in the fireplace, that's their revenue. Our credits are literally disappearing for no reason.
Yes, because that logic makes sense. That's the entire game. You pay no one for everything. All items work this way. There's no difference between losing 500 credits to pay for a fictional fee and 500 credits for a pin no one had to make.

There is because everything you buy is worth exactly what you paid for it in credits. That's how credit sprees work. This is the only thing (its sole purpose allowing credits to be traded) that is worth LESS than what you buy it for.

Someone USING that fee is completely reasonable, throwing it in the fireplace is completely pointless.
