pay to play rooms

#1
I am sorry to say but i think pay to play rooms should be banned from VMK. Just like the old VMK it was banned cause to many people were scammed. If you are going to respond to this be nice. No rude or mean comments please. Be respectful I am just looking out for the welfare of the VMK guest

I'm going to have to agree with this. Pay to play rooms are designed to have the owner come out on top by a landslide... and while you should be cautious enough not to fall for things like that, there are some younger players who may not be as savvy.

if people are stupid enough to step in a pay to play wanting to play.. they deserve to be cleaned out.

Are you dense, kid?

Obviously you don't realize that there are children younger than you playing this.

But I forgot--people like you tend to be egocentric and thus assume everyone has the same level of thinking as you do. ;)

It's like a casino, lol.

Lol I think it's stupid. I'm not going to pay to play a game and I'm certainly not going to give up a rare to play. I hope that no one does get scammed though.

The thing is, some people just don't think and can easily fall prey to this especially if they think it's not that big of a deal. Instead of attacking the victims, go after the people who are doing this. Besides, it's easier to just shut p2p down since someone greedy is profiting from people wanting to play a fun game.

In your world, apparently. And apparently, I'm very young. Awesome!

Obviously you don't realize that there are children younger than you playing this.
Oh that's been made quite clear to me, where have you been.. under a rock?!

But I forgot--people like you tend to be egocentric and thus assume everyone has the same level of thinking as you do.
That's impossible! Now what were we talking about? I was looking in the mirror and stuff.

You don't have to attack him, it just sinks you down lower than him.

1. Yeah, youth is great, is it not? (EDIT: Kid wasn't meant to be condescending. :skull:)

2. Rocks are quite comfy, but no.

3. You made me giggle a little.

4. You still evaded the whole point about how you should NOT blame the victims.

Yeah you're right..

But some versions of pay to play are innocent.. like pay a chair to play falling chairs and with a GOOD host, you'll probably win a better chair.. if you win. I'd play them types of games with a fee out of boredom.

There are people that will try to take advantage though, I saw one guy that had a game where he would only accept keys for people to pay. It's better to extinguish them as a whole, it's pretty much gambling with your inventory.

You've got a point about that.

I'd donate a chair to play falling chairs.

But I think the concern is more about rare items / pins / etc.

Pay-to-play games aren't bad. Bengal was defending it as well. Don't want to play? Don't participate. It's not that difficult of a concept to grasp.

"Gambling" and casino games of course are going to be pay-to-play, that's a bit self-explanatory. But cute or boot and falling chairs? I don't think it's necessary, but if people were to make it pay-to-play I wouldn't get upset over it, unless of course you had to pay rares. If I were to host pay to play games, I would allow people to give me even a frying pan. Rares for gambling games is acceptable in my opinion, because it's gambling - that's how you do it.

There's plenty of other games that you can play, so don't get worked up over it. I'm a cheap person so I know how you feel, but tough noogies. Cheap people want riches so they'll do just anything to get it. Cough.. pay to play.

If you don't want to get scammed, have a sharp eye. It's not difficult to avoid scams, unless you are very oblivious.

just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's going to be taken away or changed lol

if you don't like these rooms then don't go to them. it's as simple as that

Plus some hosts become known for hosting stuff.. if those types were to charge lets say, to refund whatever they charge as they seem to never have time to earn credits, because they spend it hosting.. I see that as fair, and as a gesture of support from people who enjoy the effort.

You were on another thread preaching about not stating your age to prevent younger members from being targeted, but you've evidently so easily forgotten that those same younger members are easily scammed as they are so easily "targeted" like you have said before. If they're new to the kingdom, and don't know what they're doing they'll probably be easily scammed out of their inventory, and I for one don't believe anyone deserves to be cleaned out of their items.
