Spontaneous Generation

Okay do you believe that spontaneous generation is a real thing? If you don't know what that is.. it's basically the theory that life can come from non-life. Example: A leaf turning into a frog, or something of that sort. Before you go saying "That's completely ridiculous, no way!" Think about The Big Bang, if you believe it actually happened. That's one form of spontaneous generation, therefore you would believe it to be real (if you believe that it happened).

Spontaneous Generation is often connected to things like the Big Bang and Evolution, but it is important to understand that Spontaneous Generation among the scientific community is now an obsolete body of thought. Moving from Big Bang to current life today would, therefore, not be considered Spontaneous Generation, but Abiogenesis [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abiogenesis].

Spontaneous Generation was in no way based on scientific fact, but on the observation that maggots appeared on rotten meat, or the observation that a tree would grow in size and not deplete soil mass. Unfortunately, these analyzations were based on a lack of understanding when it came to the mechanics germs, or not understanding photosynthesis.

So no, I don't believe in Spontaneous Generation.
