I'm sure most of you have noticed that the forums have been down for a little bit now, as you can see they're back but we thought we would make a post explaining a few things!

Why did we close them down? We felt that the forums needed a little bit of restructuring. For a long time now, the forums have mostly operated as a separate entity to the game. This is still the case, to an extent, but we felt like if they're going to be official forums they should be a lot more closely tied. What does this mean for you? The rules that apply to the game now apply to the forums too, where applicable. The warning/ban system is similar too. We have done this because we feel like the forums should be a reflection of the game, and as such should be a safe place for people to come and discuss the game, make trades, etc without having to worry.

There are some new additions to the forums too. The debates forum is now open for all and you don't need to join a specific user group to see it. It's also now only for debates regarding non-VMK related issues. The reason for this is because we have opened a new forum called "Community Feedback". This forum also doesn't need a user group to join, and the posts are open for all to see. This is the place where you can discuss game issues and things.

However, there is one big rule for the community feedback forum (you can see the section specific rules as a sticky in the community feedback section), and that is that all posts must be constructive. This means that when making a post there, it must either start a discussion or add to a discussion, and the post must be about a specific idea or issue. In other words, you can post a thread suggesting that say, staff shouldn't be able to enter competitions on their players, and even put a poll on it if you wish, HOWEVER we ask that when making these posts, you back them up with your reasons, and never make it personal. Replies must also be constructive and on-topic, this means no replying with just GIFs that don't add to the conversation (but you can reply giving your support for the idea, or adding points to it, just keep it on-topic!). We do want to hear your feedback and concerns, always.

What other changes have we made? Well, we have hired a lot of new staff to moderate the forums. Feel free to say hi to them if you want to, they don't bite (except maybe Scar...)! Besides that though, everything should be mostly how you remember it. Due to everything being new, if there are any changes you want made, feel free to post about them in the community feedback section (it's for both the game and the forums), now would be the best time since this is essentially a reboot!

Also, you might want to re-read the rules, they've changed a bit.

Thank you for reading!
