Yeah I like to think I went through all my dumb phases early. Outgrew Linkin Park and BOTDF (forgive me Father for I have sinned) by the time I was like, 11. All good. Of course, the downside to that is I'm a pretentious, judgemental dbag whenever someone my age tells me what music they like.
Is a Real Boy is def my favourite album of theirs. Defence of The Genre comes a close second.
being that i'm basically a fetus, i've known them since i was 9 or 10. i listened to a looot of music when i was younger, and went through phases with bands (most of them were god awful) but SA are one of the few bands that i still listen to and love a lot.
I've tried getting some of my friends into them, and one of em listened to them for a bit but now he listens to sucky music for dumb losers ):< so thats pretty lame but eh at least SA will forever be obscure to all the people i know (i'm the worst hipster i s2g)
granted u have probably known them way longer BUT Say Anything were the first band i ever loved and that is a v big deal
SA have been my favourite band since before i knew how to multiply by 10
before i even understood what Max was singing about
and in time have understood the meanings and references
which prolly means SA are to blame for my teenage angst
very big deal !!!!
