I have the Galaxy Note 4, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. True 4k video, ability to take "wide selfies", nice screen size, and built in stylus with a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution screen? yes please.
Also, 8GB sounds like a lot of space, but remember that the OS takes up over half of that, and you'll probably be left with only about 2.5-3 GB of space for apps/etc.
Actually, iOS 9 will only take up 1.3 GB, 3.5 GB less than iOS 8 and they're making it so apps only run what is necessary so app sizes will be smaller as well.

Thing is, computers are additive. Yes, it will only take up 1.3 GB on new phones. But it will take up more than that on older phones, as the old iOS 8 files will still be on the phone in some format.
