I get weary when forums hire new moderators. (Especially when they're vmk remakes or related to it.) Honestly, I think there should be a minimum age for moderators...and a minimum maturity level too.
I agree about consistency and not taking the rules too seriously. New moderators tend to do that though; it's just a part of the learning process. But if they're not new, then they should probably be fired >_>...
I tell it like it is too. I don't think moderators necessarily should though, simply because they need to act professional. I've seen admins (and moderators) go off on members publicly, and that's not a good thing...
People being put into the wrong positions is precisely why many of these remakes have failed. That and immaturity.
Personally, I'm just not a suck up. Never have been, never will be. I don't see the point. Whenever I was hired on a forum, I wasn't even expecting it. I didn't ask for it. I didn't suck up. If anything, I simply proved my knowledge of the forum software.
Hm...I never thought about it, but you're right. There aren't very many people who are actually consistent... Most of the people here were the firsts to be against Amy on OVMKF =/.
