Thats because a million credits isnt a lot anymore. Credits are so easy to get and easy to stack up that things have extrordinary prices. I dont have a black flip and tbh they dont interest me so much that even if they were 100k I wouldnt buy one. But if i did have one. I think if i found out that they were going to be rereleased , i would be selling it right now for 2m (or whatever price they have reached) because then I would gain 2m and flip hats would become cheaper...i wouldnt want my flip hat to be sat in my inventory(or my head) droping from 2m to say 1.5m and me losing 500k
except there's absolutely NO reason they should even be valued that high!! i have nearly every rare clothing item on the game (@eazyt stole my green flip flops) and i would literally not complain a single bit if they rereleased every single one of them. people who have been here for months and even years and don't have the time to play as much as other people do, and new players who just joined and see everyone wearing these cool items, they deserve the chance to get the items they want too without having to work their butts off for months.
also there's literally no downside to releasing more rares through crates. people will always complain about anything but EVERY SINGLE TIME we have a crate event nearly EVERYBODY makes it a point to get online atleast once for a few hours throughout the day.

ON ANOTHER NOTE if we do get crates can we PLEAAAASE have @hogie 's blue stitch flip hat released??? i can't find a picture anywhere but it's literally amazing and sams is amazing :look:

I'm just :look: :look: :look: :look: about this topic and wanting crates with old rares badly. @Lilac omg his blue flip was amazing, I think I saw it a few years back but yea idk where it is either but ahhh. It be cool to have a red flip too eh...wink wink

Really though loan me another million so I can get a black flip if it's that important to keep it at 2mil and struggle for a while not finding anyone trading it.

we arent saying only black flip hats should be re-released in a small amount, we are saying everything should be re-released in a small amount. black flip wont lose its value in comparison to other super rares. black flip will only lose its value to credits, which is much needed at this point.

A million credits is still a lot, unless literally all you do is sit on the game and earn credits, which the majority of us don't have time to do.
^@Kinglaser said it best.
I only have 35k in credits, so 1mill is a lot to comprehend for me. I have a job that can call me in to work whenever they have someone call out, so I have to be ready at a moments notice to drop everything and get to work. If I spend an hour in game I much prefer to spend it talking to people instead of earning credits. I only ever earn credits when I'm on for multiple hours during a day because I prefer the socializing aspect of the game. I've been around this game for so long that value fluctuations don't bother me anymore. The only thing that does bother me is when 1 or 2 people make up an insane price for an ultra and it becomes the new normal.

Agreed and plus a lot of those people who have millions of credits have a few clones and spend the entire day riding ppr and alr. I don't want to get a clone nor do I have the time to play the mini games all day.

I know I've mentioned black flip a bunch of times too because well it's the most expensive item in game and everyone wants it :/ so it wouldn't kill anyone at all if that specific 2mil hat was released, the price needs to go down.

However I think all ultras and other rares* should be re-released in crates. YAY OR NAY?? (btw I don't consider a green flip an ultra because it was sold in stores, I realized this now).

*black flip, minnie, stitch, pink flips, green flips, sparrow, original winter sets(?), green flip, and add more cool rares into the crates

I'd just like to publicly thank the users debating this topic for respectfully stating your opinions and not attacking the people who's views differ from your own.

I can see both sides of the issue, and I think the best compromise would be to release a small amount of old rares along with new rares in crates bought in the store and opened by keys obtained through playing minigames.

I wouldn't have any issue if some old ultra rares were reintroduced to the game in combination with the introduction of new ultra rares. However, I don't think that any possible items brought back should be limited to previous crate prizes alone; and should cover the entire spectrum of what's considered rare.

I would also include building competition prizes (Red/Blue/Pink Infernos, Starlight Wonder room, etc.), best guest/game prizes (Castle Suite room), Sword in the Stone prizes (Silly/Grizzly, Grumpy Cat, Mermaid 1 pins, Angel hat, etc.), Easter Basket prizes (white clothing), and blind bag tsums (Baby Pegasi, Haunted Mansion, etc).

I'm all for bringing items back, so long as they aren't handed out like participation trophies at some pee wee soccer team's end of season pizza party.

Everyone keeps saying re release old rares (keep in mind) The designers of the older items may not be around they might not be able to re release certain items in game.

I'm sure Amy could reach out to the old designers for the items created for this game, and check in with the designer who designed the Angel hat for OVMK. It would ultimately be the designers decision on if they would allow it to be rereleased. I know the designer for Angel told her to only release a certain amount when it was a prize in the stone. However, the rares from the original game should be Amy's decision since she is our leader here.

I'm talking about random items not actual original vmk items. A lot of the old designers aren't around anymore, that was what i was saying. It needs to be kept in mind not all items can be re released just because of a price inflation.

Amy has talked to former designers to get permission to use their newer, as you put it "random", items before. I feel like you're just searching for something to nitpick from my previous post so I bolded where I said that.

Help me out here, cause I can't recall. Which ones weren't in the original game? Angel, black flip, some recolors?

i think you're thinking of seperate items?? i don't think there would be any issue rereleasing any of the items that are rare with the exception of angel & black flip. most rares are mainly just og vmk items or recolors of og vmk items

The only reason this "issue" has come around is because people dont like the fact some items are expensive now and to be honest its tough. People cant just complain because things are too expensive for them or there isnt enough of them. Like ive said before, items are rare because there aren't that many of them and thats how it should stay. You dont walk into a rare diamond store and say "that diamond is too expensive I think there should be more of them in the world so that they are cheaper." or "I dont have time to work to earn any money so I think you should give me that item for cheaper". If you really want an item you have to work for it and be proud of it when you earn it. Its annoying if you dont have the time to get credits, or you prefer to socialise instead of get credits, but at the end of the day thats your decision.

I get that some people may work all day and dont have the time to farm credits but we cant just go making items cheaper specifically for you. If you dont have the time then you dont have the time and theres nothing really that can be done about that. If I had the time id sit painting and drawing all day because thats what I love but unfortunately I dont, but i dont sit and complain about it, thats life. We dont always have the time to do things we wish we could.

The prices of most items that are no longer sold in stores are constantly rising because of the number of credits in game, you dont solve that by releasing more of those items, its solved by reducing how easy credits are to get and putting a credit sink in game. Rare things get more expensive over time, thats how it is in life and thats how it is in every other game. Im going to refer to another game here (Runescape), There is items on that game that have risen from a couple hundred credits to over 8billion credits(correlates to around 3000-4000$ of real life cash) and they would never dream of rereleasing those items no matter how much people complained because they would destory the value of peoples inventory.

i still strongly believe, and basically everyone else who has posted on this thread and participated in matty's poll, that rares need to be released or rereleased at this point
i think everyone has argued enough on this, you've made your point and everyone has made it clear they disagree. thank you for sharing your views though!! :)
